Nick has spent five years within a business technology team in the construction industry. He specializes in managing technical systems while advocating for users across all experience levels. He is at his best when resolving long-term technical annoyances that have historically lacked a resolution, focusing on turning persistent friction into practical solutions.
With a Bachelor of Applied Information Systems Technology and a diploma in IT Business Analysis from NAIT, Nick bridges the gap between technical architecture and the people who use it daily. He ensures that every project stays on track and delivers something that actually works for the business.

Senior Software Developer
Tyler holds a Bachelor of Applied Information Systems Technology with a diploma in Software Development from NAIT. He handles all the technical work at HD Web and is a multi-year Sitecore Technology MVP (2025 & 2026), an award given to developers who demonstrate exceptional expertise and contribute to the Sitecore community.
He works with React.js, C#, Sitecore, Umbraco, and WordPress, along with whatever else a project needs. Tyler focuses on writing clean code and building sites that are fast and reliable.

What we do
HD Web is a web design and development company based in Edmonton, Alberta. We build custom websites for small businesses: full redesigns, brand-new builds, e-commerce stores, and ongoing maintenance. Every site is designed and coded by our team. No templates, no outsourcing.

What sets us apart
HD Web is a two-person team of senior developers with a combined 15+ years of experience. Custom websites start from $1,199 CAD with our Kickstart package. We do this work alongside our full-time roles, so there is no agency overhead and we pass those savings directly to our clients.
Tyler Holmes is a multi-year Sitecore Technology MVP (2025 and 2026), an industry award recognizing developers with exceptional expertise in the Sitecore platform. Both founders hold a Bachelor of Applied Information Systems Technology from NAIT.
Enterprise experience
Tyler brought Senior Software Developer experience from Fishtank Consulting, a Sitecore consultancy, where he has built and maintained web platforms for Bayer UK, BCAA, ENMAX, Enbridge, CPA Canada. Before that, he worked on platforms for AltaML, Techopedia. These are production systems that handle millions of visits per year.
Nick brought Business Analyst experience from PCL Construction, one of the largest construction companies in North America, where he managed technical systems and translated business needs into working solutions.
That enterprise background carries into every HD Web project. We write the same quality of code for a local Edmonton business that we write for organizations with seven-figure development budgets. Technologies
Our core languages are JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, and PHP. We build with React, Next.js, Sitecore, Umbraco, WordPress, and Shopify, and pick the right tool for the project: a headless CMS build, a WordPress site with a managed dashboard, or a Shopify store with custom functionality.
We are not limited to that list. If a project calls for a different language, CMS, or tooling, we learn it and ship it. The fundamentals of writing clean, maintainable code transfer across platforms, and we have done it enough times to ramp up fast.
Where we are
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. We work with clients across Alberta and take remote projects Canada-wide. All consultations, design reviews, and project communication happen over video call or in person for local Edmonton clients.
